Company Profile: In the UK, the Michelin Tyre Company Ltd was incorporated on 11 May 1905 and is now, more than one hundred years later involved in many activities not just tyre making, from tyre industry training to economic development and publishing.
The customer requirement -
Michelin had a requirement for a newly launched software system to be delivered professionally and reliably into their network of independent tyre dealers. The system provides valuable training, business support and information for Michelin’s valued dealer network, and the company needed to be certain that the system would be always available during business hours. Because of the range of IT installations which are in use at each site, Michelin had not been able to find single solution which would be suitable in every case.
We were approached by Insegni Interactive Solutions, who are responsible for delivering online training via the portal, based on our track record of providing practical and efficient network solutions to businesses of all sizes.
Services and Results -
We designed and delivered a managed network, together with our valued industry partner Zen Internet, who were selected for their multi-award-winning services and flexible customer-oriented approach to service delivery. Because our solution is built on the rock-solid foundation of Cisco routers and Hewlett Packard thin clients, Michelin can be sure that each installation reflects the premium quality brand that they have worked to build and maintain since 1905.
Our purpose built management and monitoring systems provide fully “zero touch” rollout, configuration and change management, with real-time automated alerting and remote support capability, backed up by full support from our helpdesk and network of engineers Our extensive experience of deploying and managing equipment in the field has meant that new sites can be deployed in less than two weeks, and the actual installation of the small-footprint equipment takes less than 20 minutes – very important in a busy dealership where time and space are at a premium.
Overall, the complete solution has helped ensure that Michelin’s portal is available to their customers via a professional, user friendly, and reliable interface, which reinforces the premium Michelin brand
